⭐⭐ TWO firsts in one entry. (1) The shard's first explicit SCRIPTURE CITATIONS — '(Ge. 1, 1. Joh. 1, 1)' beside ܪܺܫܺܝܬ. Nestle has cited grammars, lexica and journals for 55 pages and has never once cited the Bible; here he does it for the word both Testaments open with, and gives the Nestorian pointing beside it. (2) Convention 10, closing a pointer that ran the other way: ܡܰܣܳܡ ܒܪܺܝܫܳܐ 'punishment' is a SUB-LEMMA of ܣܳܡ on p. 173, and here it reappears as a sub-lemma of the other word it is built from, cross-referred back to ܣܘܡ. The idiom is filed twice, under each of its nouns, with a pointer only on the second.
